FALL MEETING SCHEDULE
As a reminder, District Committee and Unit Commissioner Meetings will begin again August
4th. It is very important all of our District members and Unit Commissioners to attend
these meetings. At these meetings we will be laying the groundwork for our fall
recruitment, popcorn sales, and final touches on the Air show. In addition, all of our
currently registered District Committee members will receive recognition for being a
Centennial District in 2008.
One of the most important dates of the year occurs August 11th at 7pm at Bethesda Lutheran Church, Eau Claire. During that time we will be having our fall membership/ popcorn kick off. WE NEED 2 MEMBERS OF EVERY PACK, TROOP, AND VENTURE CREW TO ATTEND. During that time we will be talking about our fall recruitment plan. Specifically we will be addressing Cub Scout recruitment in September and finalizing all of our school night dates.
In addition, we will be addressing all of the new incentives and changes to popcorn sales in the fall. Units who have two people attend these meetings, and meet other criteria, qualify for an increase in their units Popcorn sales %.
SEPTEMBER CUB SCOUT RECRUITMENT
This spring Packs should have received a letter from our Cub Scout membership chair Rich
Ender outlining our fall recruitment plan. As part of the plan, Rich included an excel
sheet with your Pack's recruitment date, time and location for September 2009 along with
the contact person for your Pack who will help out with your recruitment.

It is the responsibility of each Pack to confirm their contact person and recruitment date, time and location with the School. Once the recruitment date has been confirmed, it is the responsibility of the Pack –before Friday August 14th – fill out and submit a flyer request form at the Scout Office.

BOY SCOUT FALL CAMPOREE
Please “save the date” of September 18-19th for the Clear Water Fall Camporee. This year’s
event will be held at the Brunswick Property owned by the Council here in Eau Claire. The
theme for the event will be from the forestry merit badge and will include geo-caching.
Please continue to check the council website for the most up to date information.
Make sure your unit pre-registers at the Scout Office by calling 715-832-6671 no later than Tuesday September 8th at 5pm.
