Meeting reminders: Unit Commissioner Meetings are at 6pm on the first Tuesday of each month (August-May) at Christ Lutheran Church, 1306 Wilcox St., Menomonie. District Committee Meetings are at 7pm on the first Tuesday of each month (August-May) at Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, 1125 North Broadway, Suite #4, Menomonie.
TALL OAKS ACORN AWARD
The intent of this award is to give each unit in the Tall Oaks District an opportunity to recognize at least one person in their Pack, Troop or Crew. This does not have to be a registered leader, it can be a parent, grandparent or just someone who has done something that has put that extra spark in your unit over the year or years.

Then send to Vern Caturia verncaturia@att.net or Joe Gravelle joseph.t.gravelle@xcelenergy.com. It is very important that you write a short explanation of why this person is being nominated. We usually read this at the time the award is presented. It will be awarded at the District Dinner in February. The deadline for submitting "Acorn Award" nominations is Friday, January 27, 2012.
