Welcome to the Community Service Page!
SCOUTING FOR FOOD
Scouting for Food will take place on Saturday, April 7 and April 14, 2018. Packs, Troops, Crews and Scouters are encouraged to participate by distributing door hangers on April 7th in their community or neighborhood and then picking up food on April 14th and taking it to a food pantry of their choosing. This is one of Scouting's largest service projects, and a great way to let people know about the good things Scouts are doing in our communities! Scouting for Food 2018 is supported by the Eau Claire Morning and Menomonie Noon Rotary Clubs.
New in 2018 – submit a picture of your Scouts in action doing Scouting for Food and we will share on the Chippewa Valley Council Facebook page to highlight their Good Turn.
SCOUTING FOR FOOD SERVICE HOURS
As your unit participates in Scouting for Food this month, it is important to log those service hours so Scouts get credit for the good work being done in our communities! There are a couple options to do this. Service Hours may be entered online at https://servicehours.scouting.org/UI/Security/Login.aspx, please contact the Scout Service Center if you need help getting logged in. You can also CLICK HERE for a fillable pdf that can be used to report the hours. Completed forms can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or turned in at the Scout Service Center. Scoutbook is not yet set up to automatically sync with service hours like it is with advancement, but it is still a great tool for you to track service hours at the Pack/Troop level. Keep up the good work!
If you have any questions, please contact the Scout Service Center at 715-832-6671.
