Scouters may choose to participate in training sessions in any district with dates that suit their schedules. All of the trainers in our council have quality presentations. The cost is $6.00 for Leader Specific (Book not included, is available for purchase on-site, or download online).

It is always recommended that you participate in the scheduled training sessions so you can network with other leaders. Some trainers may make arrangements to do training sessions in addition to those listed above. Arrangements must then be made with the trainers, not through the council office.

For more information about Boy Scout Trainings, please call the Scout Service Center at 715-832-6671.

All Boy Scout Leader Trainings are ideal for both Webelos Leaders and Boy Scout Leaders. Camping is a part of the Webelos Program, so what better place to acquire knowledge of the resources available to you the leader. Through the trainings, Webelos Leaders can network with Boy Scout troop leaders. The Boy Scout troops in our Council are excellent resources for a Webelos Den’s camping program.

You MUST pre-register for all training sessions.
NO walk-ins will be allowed to B.A.L.O.O. or the Introduction to Outdoor Skills training sessions as we have a limited number of spaces available. Food for these trainings must be purchased and we will only have food for those pre-registered. You should complete the Leader Specific training for your registered position before attending Introduction to Outdoor Skills.

If a Boy Scout Leader: must complete Youth Protection Training, Leader Specific, and Intro to Outdoor Skills to be fully trained and wear a trained patch.

All leaders should be familiar with basic elements of the Scouting program.

Supplemental trainings are available here: BSA Online Learning Center
