Upcoming Popcorn Dates & Deadlines
A council wide popcorn kick off meeting for all unit popcorn kernels will be on July 17th at 10 am at Action City.  During this time we will be discussing successful popcorn sales techniques, changes to this year's popcorn sale, and giving out some great prizes.  Please plan on having your popcorn kernel attend this event.  Attn unit leaders: we need to know who the "Popcorn Kernel" will be for your unit, and your units' commission choice.  Even if the same person is going to be the popcorn kernel this year as in the past, you still need to fill out the card that was sent to you.  Please fill out the postcard completely and return it today or bring it to the popcorn training.  The district popcorn training and membership kick off dates are as follows:
Blue Hills...August 12th at 7 pm
Tall Oaks...August 10th at 7 pm
Clear Water...August 10th at 7 pm
Glaciers End...August 10th at 7 pm
It is very important to have TWO people attend; one person for School Night Training & one person for Popcorn Training.  If you have two people attend the meeting and you meet certain membership goals you may qualify for up to an additional 2% commission on your popcorn sale.  If you have any questions, please call the Council Service Center at 715-832-6671.

Day Camp
All CVC Cub Scouts and families are invited to begin planning now to participate in day camp during the summer of 2010. Camps will relate to the theme “Centennial Celebration” commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America. Day Camp is a great time for Scouts, parents, and siblings to come together and participate in a variety of activities including: shooting sports, games, crafts, Scout skills, swimming at some locations, and much, much more. See the list below for camps being offered this summer:

  • June 8 – 10: Hatchery Creek Park, Hayward WI - $30/Scout – 9AM – 3PM
  • June 15-17: Mt. Simon Park, Eau Claire WI - $27.50/Scout – 5:30PM – 9PM
  • July 12-13: Pioneer Village Park, Cameron WI - $25/Scout – 9AM – 3PM
  • July 20-22: Wakanda Park, Menomonie WI - $30/Scout 9AM – 3:30PM (July 20-21); 3PM – 9PM (July 22)
  • August 9-11: Irvine Park, Chippewa Falls WI - $30/Scout – 9AM – 3PM (a change from 10th-12th)
